Born and raised in Los Angeles, Gabriela attended the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During this time, she lived in London for her entire Junior Year studying abroad at the Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance. Upon graduation, she immediately moved to New York City and worked with choreographers Randy James, Nathaniel Hunt, Jason Fowler, Shawn Rawls, Amy Gardner, Gregory Dolbashian and Guanglei Hui, to name a few.
In the spring of 2019, she collaborated with cellist Ken Kuo in Shanghai, performing interpretively while manipulating an original leather goods display for Burgundy Assemblage. She participated in an all female cast performance for pop artist, Solange, at Parsons School of Design’s 79th annual banquet in an immersive theatrical experience. Her dance film, Synchronicity, was selected to be featured in an online presentation through The Tank NYC in February 2021.
In 2022, she focused more on commercial work being featured in pop music artist Halsey’s tour video visuals, a principle dancer in a Gap commercial and was a featured OCP in the 2023 holiday campaign for Pepsi. More recently she has been doing modeling and runway work, collaborating on an immersive fashion show playwright for the Zepherina clothing line in the Spring of 2024 and selected to be a runway performer for the 2025 Wiederhoeft NYFW SS Collection.
Currently working bi-coastal in the film industry, Gabriela choreographs, co-directs and performs in experimental dance films today. She resides between both New York City and Los Angeles, is a member of DanceHypha dance agency and continues to collaborate with directors, designers and musicians.
